ABOUT CONFERENCE

The Soil School of Business Design (SSOBD), Manesar, proudly presents the international conference (IC-SOBD-24) on the theme " Emerging Management Trends & Innovative Approaches for Sustainable Development: Embracing Design Thinking Solutions." As we navigate an era marked by rapid technological advancements and increasing sustainability challenges, this conference aims to explore how the principles of design thinking and innovative management approaches can be utilized to drive sustainable innovation in management practices. Varun Nagaraj is a distinguished leader in digital innovation with over three decades of experience in bringing digital products to market. His career spans roles such as CEO, general manager, chief product officer, VP of product management, management consultant, product manager, and engineer at both venture-backed and public companies in Silicon Valley and Boston.

In addition to his extensive industry experience, Varun is a dedicated practitioner-scholar. His post-PhD research agenda focuses on responsible digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and the intersection of technology and social change, with contributions to academic journals, book chapters, and popular articles.

Varun has also made significant contributions to education, teaching courses on Wise Innovation, Design and Innovation, Digital Product Management, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Transformation at several top US universities and SPJIMR, in various formats including classroom, hybrid, and online.

The IC-SOBD-24 conference invites original papers, including extended abstracts and full-length manuscripts, from academicians, industry professionals, research scholars, masters’ students and independent consultants. We also welcome case studies related to the various conference tracks. All submissions must be original and must not be under simultaneous consideration by other conferences or journals. PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Abstract Submission Guidelines:

  1. Length: Approximately 1500 words. 

  2. Content Requirements: Extended abstracts should provide a clear overview of the research purpose, methodology, key findings, implications, and significant references. 

  3. Authorship: All authors must be listed below the title of the extended abstract, with the corresponding author(s) marked by an asterisk (*) and their email address included. 

  4. Review Process: Extended abstracts will be subject to one blind peer review. Only those approved by reviewers will be accepted for presentation.

Formatting Guidelines:

  1. Title: Title should not be more than 20 words. Use Times New Roman, 14-point font, bold, with each word capitalize. 

  2. Authorship: All authors must be listed below the title of the abstract including affiliations, with the corresponding author marked by an asterisk (*) and their email address included. 

  3. Font Style: Times New Roman with a 12-point size. 

  4. Spacing: 1.5-spaced throughout the document. 

  5. Margins: Follow normal margin pattern with 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides. 

  6. Document Type: PDF or MS Word. 

  7. Keywords: Write 4 to 7 keywords.  

  8. Language: Manuscripts must be in clear, professional English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited prior to submission

All submissions will be made through the google form. (Link)  

The abstracts selected after peer reviews will be called for full paper submission via mail. Last date of submission of full-length paper will be communicated through mail.  

Full Paper Submission Guidelines :

  1. Originality: Manuscripts must be original and should not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.

  2.  Length: Papers length should be kept below 8000 words, including the abstract, main text, figures, tables, appendices, and references. All tables and figures must be cross-referenced within the text.

  3.  References: Use APA style reference style. www.apastyle.org

  4.  Plagiarism: Plagiarism in the submitted papers must be less than 15%, with no more than 11 words of similarity (excluding references). Additionally, AI-generated content will be evaluated for originality.

  5. Review Process: All papers will undergo two blind peer review. Only selected papers will be considered for further publication.

  6.  Publication: Papers and extended abstracts accepted for presentation will be included in the conference proceedings, provided that at least one author registers and presents the paper. Selected high-quality papers that receive positive blind peer reviews will also be considered for publication in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and the ABDC category, subject to the submission fees required by the respective journals.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Book of Abstracts: All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings with ISBN number and will be released during the inaugural session of the conference.

Publication Journals: Only selected papers of the conference would be peer-reviewed by the Conference Review Committee for possible publication in ABDC/Scopus/UGC Care-listed journals and the concerned authors would be required to submit their full papers as per the guidelines of the respective journal.
